Ubuntu USB on Macbook 2,1

Hey I followed this http://mac.linux.be/content/installatio ... -usb-stick, and right at the very end when trying to boot from it, it said I needed to load the kernel. What can I do to fix this?

Hey so i was wondering if you could help me out. I too was on vacation for the past two weeks.

Do you also have a MacBook 2,1? I know for example that my MacBook 2,1 does not allow booting from USB. I tried all methods but to no avail. I have Karmic Koala running on the hard drive, next to MacOSX.

I will try to follow the guide you refer to tomorrow. See if I can get it running on my MacBook 2,1. But as I said, I don't give you a lot of chance.

Why don't you just install Ubuntu next to OSX?
