Full screen and width deformation

Postby iDan » Fri Oct 21, 2011 7:21 pm

Hello ! I have installed Ubuntu on my iMac with Parallels and it works fine. My only concern is : when I go full screen, the display is stretched because the system selects 1920x1200 and my native screen resolution is 1920x1080. How could I get a proper display --without any deformation ?

Maybe you have to create an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and use your resolution as a mode, see e.g.

Finally, I dropped Parallels and installed VirtualBox. After installing the Guest Additions, I could use my fullscreen resolution (1920 x 1080) without any stretching ! And my magic mouse which used to freeze with Parallels/Ubuntu/Firefox works like a charm now. VirtualBox FTW !
