Adjust screen brightness on Apple Studio Displays

Postby linuxopjemac » Wed Jul 14, 2010 5:53 pm

There are no ways to adjust brightness on Apple Studio Displays on the monitor itself. The way to do it is via software. People report it to work with "xgamma -gamma "number between 0.7 and 1.0"

This seems to give a nice brightness:

Code: Select all
xgamma -gamma 0.8

Thanks, interesting solution.... I just don't understand one thing how such a dveloper as Apple didn't think about brightness management...
