Just to inform you PowerPC lovers. I purchased another Pismo G3 PowerBook for myself and I am planning to run Ubuntu on it. My other Pismo has Debian Lenny on it now. The reason for this extra purchase is that I am planning to play around with my idea of porting Linux Mint 8 (Helena) LXDE to the PPC architecture. It is something I have never done before and it will take some time before this project is finalized, but I will do my best. Linux Mint 8 LXDE looks so good and I know from my Debian Lenny experience on the Pismo that LXDE as desktop manager is perfect for these machines. Don't expect to have it soon, as I need to go through some learning curve first to achieve this. I would appreciate some help from people who know what they are doing.
