Firefox 9 released - improved javascript performance

As <a href="https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases" rel="external" target="_blank">expected</a>, the <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/" rel="external" target="_blank">Mozilla Project</a> has now <a href="http://blog.mozilla.com/blog/2011/12/20/major-javascript-enhancements-ma... rel="external" target="_blank">officially released</a> version 9.0 of its open source <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/" rel="external" target="_blank">Firefox</a> web browser. Based on the Gecko 9.0 rendering engine, Firefox 9.0 brings under the hood changes that improve JavaScript performance by up to 30 per&nbsp;cent; early tests by <a href="http://www.extremetech.com/computing/94532-firefox-9-javascript-performa... rel="external" target="_blank">ExtremeTech</a> confirmed Mozilla&#39;s estimates, but found that it could also occasionally be slower.
